My upcoming release, Photographs of Claudia, has cleared the editor & proofreaders, so I'm ready to share a bit of it.  Normally I post Chapter 1, but I've skipped over the intro to the book so you could meet the main characters. Leonora Westcott -- Leo to her friends -- is a studio photographer working in Monterey, California. While taking school photos, she meets Claudia Galloway, a teaching intern, and they hit it off. If you enjoy those stories where love blossoms from friendship, I think you'll appreciate this one. You'll find the synopsis, some background on the story and the excerpt by clicking on the cover above.

Oh, and speaking of the cover ... that's not just any old gratuitous nude photo meant to grab your eye. It depicts an actual scene from the book. Yes, I studied it long and hard as I wrote. That's definitely Claudia.

We're still in the planning stages of the Bella Y-Tour Feb. 12-14 in South Florida, but I can guarantee it's going to be an unforgettable event. Here are the details so far:

Friday night: Welcome party at New Moon Bar in Ft. Lauderdale

Saturday: Workday with Habitat for Humanity in Miami -- the final day of the Blitz Build

Sunday: Reading & signing at Stonewall Library & Archives in Ft. Lauderdale

And this last part isn't a Bella event, but I'll share it with you in case you want com come along. Several of us are jumping on the Norwegian Sky for a 4-night cruise to the Bahamas. Ship, sun, sand, swimming & snorkeling. This may not be the 1st chapter, but it's a great slice to spike interest in the characters & their story. Only downside is the wait. I look forward to it.

No, the cover doesn't hurt.
