Last week I wrote about "excitement" as I announced three upcoming events, along with my usual subtle reminder that I HAVE A NEW BOOK OUT. I've started getting feedback on Worth Every Step, and I want to say thanks for the nice words. I hope it's a story that stays with you, even one that burns into you a longing to do something adventurous.

I'm packing today for the Xena Convention. Hence, the "chaos" title for this week's update. Lots of details to take care of before getting on that plane tomorrow. I've gotten confirmation that my books arrived in LA, so I know I'll have them available for sale and signing. That's one less thing for me to fret about. And I'll be sure to post a photo from Lucy Lawless's show if I can get my brain to work while she's onstage.

After the con, I'm heading up to Seattle & Portland for a few days to visit friends. When I return to Miami, I'll be polishing my February 11th Stonewall Library & Archives reading and presentation for ArtExplosion 09, the Ninth Annual International GLBT Festival. I recently did an interview with AE09's Keith Clark, and it's posted at their MySpace page. I'll be checking in at that blog over the next couple of weeks to answer questions and comments, so please feel free to share your thoughts.

I've also pulled together some final details on the book event in Gulfport, FL, with Ruth Perkinson & Lee Lynch. That's set for February 15th, and if you happen to be in the Tampa Bay Area that weekend, please join us at the Lady in Red Valentine's Dance on Saturday night. See the Events page here for details on our Sunday signing. We'll be contributing a portion of our proceeds to ProSuzy, our way of saying thanks for bringing together lesbians in the Tampa Bay Area.
