Thanks to all for the nice notes on Worth Every Step. Glad you're enjoying it. Perhaps it will spark you to plan an adventure of your own.
Ruth Perkinson has been visiting me in Miami this week, but I'm ignoring her too. I've sent her out to the pool so I can work on a short story for the Valentine's Day Special at the Royal Academy of Bards. I'll post that one here soon in the Extras section. Ruth accompanied me on Wednesday night to the Stonewall Library & Archives in Ft. Lauderdale, where I had the immense pleasure of participating in their Distinguished Author Series, in association with Art Explosion '09. We had a fantastic turnout, with lots of questions and enthusiastic readers. In fact, things went so well that I was invited back. I'll tell you all the details in a couple of weeks. Tomorrow, Ruth & I are heading up the Tampa Bay Area, where we'll join pal Lee Lynch in a book signing at Gulfport on Sunday. All of the details are on the Events page, and I promise to report back with photos. In fact, I promise to update the Events page soon with photos and summaries from both the Xena con and Stonewall as well. Also, I want to let folks know that next week (Feb. 20-24) I'll be in the hot seat for the Ask the Author spotlight at the Virtual Living Room. If you aren't already a member of this Yahoo group, just follow the instructions to join and jump right in. We'll be talking mostly about Worth Every Step, but I'm up for anything. And speaking of Valentine's Day, Karin Kallmaker is asking for folks to share their thoughts on romance. That's happening at the Bella & Spinsters Authors' Forum. Comments

The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. I've been working frantically on wrapping up the manuscript for Sea Legs, and I added a bit of authenticity by writing last week while on the ferry from Seattle to Victoria. My friends were very kind to indulge me while I ignored them. After Seattle, I had a chance to visit Steph & family in Portland, and she treated me to an all-you-can-eat crab fest. I'm officially spoiled.
