The 2nd Annual Gay & Lesbian Literary Arts Festival wraps up tomorrow in Ft Lauderdale at the Stonewall Library, Museum & Archives. The past two days have been jam-packed with stimulating panels on writing, editing & publishing. The lesbian fiction flag was carried this year by JM Redmann, Susan X Meagher, Lee Lynch, Ali Vali & Joanne T Lewis. As a member of the Board of Directors, I was honored to be part of the host committee, and really enjoyed moderating two panels, Making the Case for Genre Fiction and Keeping It Fresh: Writing a Series. Greg Herren helped us out on the series panel, and I was glad for the chance to hear Alyson Books publisher Don Weise's editing panel with Sebastian Stuart & David McConnell.

We finished tonight with a cocktail party that was designed ostensibly to let Stonewall supporters & volunteers meet the authors, but in truth it was the other way around. What a pleasure to talk to the folks who give generously of their time and financial support so that our literature & history are preserved!  As Executive Director Jack Rutland said, the LGBT community & its straight allies meet at Stonewall to "move us forward."

Please check out the GALLA info and see what you missed this year. Put us on your list for next time.

Good news about Mother Load: Book 4 in the Shaken Series -- It's gone to the editor! It's impossible to overstate how happy that makes me. Starting work soon on something new, which I'll tell you more about when I get a little deeper.
