It's my favorite blog subject -- a new book! Small Packages is now ready for pre-order at Bella Books. What does pre-order mean? In this case, it means the book will ship directly to you on the release date, which is May 18th. No delays, no "temporarily out of stock." If you've "pre-ordered" from that...ahem, other site that de-listed our books a while back, you'll have to wait until they get it catalogued and in their warehouse. That process took 6 weeks for Worth Every Step. Just saying... So what is it about Small Packages that's special? If you're following the Shaken Series, you know that Anna & Lily are overdue for some joy and excitement. This story delivers lots of smiles in the form of 4-year-old Andy, the child of a sister Lily never knew existed. If you had the chance to read Shaken, the condensed book (now out of print) from which this series is derived, be on the lookout for some significant changes in this story. I have to say, I'm pretty happy with the way the Shaken Series has been received, and if the nice reviews and sales continue I'll probably issue another installment in 2011.
Since my last blog, I've had a wonderful time at the 1st Annual GALLA Festival in Ft. Lauderdale. I'll be posting a summary in the Events Archive soon, complete with photos stolen from Karin Kallmaker. Finally, I'm hosting the Potluck discussion over at the Bella & Spinsters Authors Forum this week. My topic is Our Faithful Friends, and I'm asking folks to contribute funny & heartwarming stories about their pets. For every story that makes me go "Awwwww," I'll be donating a buck to my local animal shelter. Please go over and add yours. Comments

Dawn, I look forward to writing the next one in the series. Pretty sure where it's going, but I haven't nailed down the entire story arc. But my plate is already full for 2010.

Hi KG,
I was really excited when I was reading your last sentence and you stated another book in the series might be forthcoming. Then you brought me back to Earth with 2011.....WHAT??? Next year is 2010, did you accidently mistype? lol. I have your book "Shaken" and am enjoying this new series. Thanks for your time Dawn |
