| Women's Week in P-Town 2007 |
|
OCTOBER 11-14 I’ll be taking part in the Fourth Annual Lesbian Authors benefit reading on Friday 9 – 10:30 a.m. at the Crown & Anchor to support Provincetown’s Helping Our Women. Other panelists are Kim Baldwin, JLee Meyer & Karin Kallmaker, with Radclyffe moderating. This year’s panel is called How We Do What We Do — True Confessions of Best–Selling Lesbian Authors! I assume we’ll be talking about books, but with Kallmaker involved, the conversation could go anywhere. Btw, you can check out this great organization at http://www.helpingourwomen.org/. Stop by Now Voyager Books and keep me company at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. I’ll be signing all alone. There's a pretty good chance Susan X Meagher & Blayne Cooper will be lurking about if you're interested in picking up our collaboration, Undercover Tales. I’ll be joined at Now Voyager on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 by fellow Bella authors Karin Kallmaker & Diana Tremain Braund. EVENT UPDATE The reports on P'Town are coming in, so let me give you some links. Karin Kallmaker has some photos up on her home page, and some comments on her blog. Kim Baldwin put together a great slideshow of the whole week. Our panel on lesbian fiction benefitted Provincetown's Helping Our Women, and over 90 readers came out to show their support and hear us go on and on about what we love. Radclyffe did a great job of pulling it together and moderating. And the audience asked some great questions, especially given the early hour. You'll notice in the Panel photos that I'm the only one with coffee. I don't think anyone else had been to bed. If you get to P'Town next year, get your tickets early for this event. You won't be sorry. |
