My friend Susan X Meagher is a publishing fiend. It was only a couple of months she was here announcing not one, but two new books. And she's doing it again. As well as showing up in P'Town for Women's Week. Hello, MacGregorites! Like a bad penny, I have returned. Don't you hate it when people guest blog just to push their own books? I know I'd like to "Getaway" from all of the self-promotion authors are prone to. So let's just chat, shall we? I was just thinking about the first time I met KG. But for the cruel twist of time and circumstance it could have been a classic "Girl Meets Girl" scenario. But she had given her heart to another, as had I. Yes, I must admit that we were both tempted. I mean, how could we not be? More than once we plotted a way to "Getaway" and let our boiling passions flow. But no. We resisted. And I'm glad we did, even though I know it's hard for her to resist her animal urges. KG and I will both be in Provincetown from October 10-14, and we'd both appreciate it if you'd go out of your way to find us and keep us occupied. Idle hands and all of that...
I'll be at Now Voyager on Friday at 4:30 and Saturday at 11:30. I'll also swing by on Sunday for the last call from 9-11. Other than that, I'll wander around, watching the kismet as "Girl Meets Girl" on their romantic P'town "Getaway." It's been lovely chatting with you all, and I thank KG for having the discipline to keep her lusting hands from the need that's likely always lurking in the recessess of her heart.
