Sumter, TN is a fictional town situated just outside of Nashville. If you’re from the area, think Franklin. Most of the research for this story involved technical aspects of nursing certifications and the duties performed by various staff in a nursing home setting. Like a lot of you who have written, I’ve had up close and personal experience with nursing homes. I have great respect for the professionals we entrust with the care of our loved ones in their last days, and this book was dedicated to them.
