My contribution to this book took ages to write, with several versions ending up in the circular file. It wasn't the characters or the plot. It was trying to follow Cooper & Meagher and write in first person, something I hadn't attempted before. I struggled with it, and while I was very happy with some parts, others just didn't work. So I settled on a final rewrite in third person limited omniscient, but entirely through Vonne's POV. I may revisit the challenge of first person again if the story is right, but there's a lot to be said for going with your strengths.
